We want Inclusive Financing

The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (PUC) is now open for public comment. This is a unique moment in time. MN Renewable Now stands in solidarity with many partners who have all agree that Inclusive Financing should be a MN best practice. Inclusive Financing is an opportunity for people to get updates on their properties so that they are more energy efficient. Such as; saving a lot on your heating and electric bills, feeling more comfortable in your home and lowering your carbon footprint.

Many homes in MN especially in Minneapolis and St. Paul are very old (and that’s putting it lightly). May people, including landlords, have not made the updates because it costs a good chunk of Moo-lah. So with Inclusive Financing; they would be able to get the work done, and pay it off over time, through their energy bills- BAM!

The really cool thing about this is- four other states are already doing this, so it only makes sense. Plus we have a blueprint on how it works!

So everyone reading this- go to the State of Minnesota’s PUC public comment docket and speak your mind. Tell them how much inclusive Financing would be beneficial for your household.
